TECNALIA develops a monitoring and automation system in the manufacturing processes of materials to ensure their quality
TECNALIA advises on new models of composite materials to different sectors; wind, aeronautical, rail and automotive
TECNALIA integrates technical developments in the manufacturing processes of composite materials based on industry 4.0 concepts: TECNALIA monitors and identifies deviations, makes decisions and acts automatically and in real time to ensure their quality and optimization.
The solution consists in the implementation of online monitoring systems; sensors and artificial vision systems, which collect data from the key stages of the process (lay up, preforming, curing ...). These data feed simulation models capable of reproducing in real time, and evaluate the changes that occur in the material / product at different stages of the process (fiber orientation, viscosity, curing, Tg).
The learning capacity, together with the automation allow the process to regulate itself to correct the deviations (positioning, temperature, pressure ...) and process each piece, with the optimal parameters.
Our team of experts will announce our developments at the JEC2020 composite materials fair:
• development and manufacturing of high performance composite parts, focused on reducing weight and costs
• development of multimaterial structures and joining technologies
• development of new systems and processes for the automated production of composite components
• structure assembly
• development of functional materials and layers to improve the properties of composite materials
• integration of functions for weight reduction structures
• recycling of composite materials
